'I'm a Realtor -- I carry a Web badge'
Real estate tech brief
By Inman News, Wednesday, October 5, 2011.
A California Association of Realtors subsidiary has launched an online personalized widget, the Realtor Badge, that verifies the identity of Realtor members, including license status, office, specialization and designations. Realtors can post the badge to their business-related websites.
The widget, created by Real Estate Business Services Inc., provides a direct link to the state's real estate regulatory agency, the California Department of Real Estate, that allows consumers to verify a Realtor member's license status, according to the announcement.
The widget is offered as a free member benefit to members of the state Realtor group, and a paid version of the widget is available to other state associations, according to the announcement.
