Luxury listing: California compound with impressive list of owners

The compound features 13 structures, a vineyard, bocce ball court and more

Award-winning comedienne and actress Whoopi Goldberg, the John Deere family and an early Ford Motor investor comprise the impressive background of ownership of Deer Lodge, a California compound of 13 structures that will sell at auction through Concierge Auctions.

Located halfway between Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley wine region, the massive estate sits on 187 acres of oak woodlands and boasts a 300-vine vineyard, a 150-foot-long zip line, deluxe tree house and fort, bocce ball court, putting greens, gym, media house, spa and pool.

Previously offered at $14 million, the property will sell to the highest bidder without reserve on May 21 in cooperation with Mike Brady and Micah Brady of Santa Ynez Land Sotheby’s International Realty.
