Century 21 Real Estate is growing its presence across Georgia with the addition of Realty 1 Georgia, now operating as Century 21 Realty 1 Professionals, the firm recently announced.

The brokerage, led by broker-owner Angela Whitmire, serves Covington, Milledgeville, East Metro Atlanta and Central Georgia.

“It’s always huge for the Century 21 brand to expand its presence in America’s largest metros, especially when we can do it with someone as professional, knowledgeable and compassionate as Angela,” Mike Miedler, president and CEO of Century 21 Real Estate LLC, said in a statement. “The only way to stand out in a market as diverse and as crowded as Atlanta is by relying on the right people to set us apart. Although Angela’s immediate footprint isn’t in Atlanta proper, her presence is still felt there, and her expertise is still able to speak for itself.”
Whitmire founded Realty 1 Georgia in early 2020. Her career in real estate, however, started much earlier at age 18. Over the years, she’s worked across several areas of the industry, including mortgage lending, property management and sales.
In the real estate industry, she’s held roles at various firms, including RE/MAX Around Atlanta East and The American Realty Professionals of GA, before launching her own company.
When the 2008 housing crisis hit, Whitmire shifted into event management but returned to real estate in 2013. Her experience navigating industry ups and downs ultimately led her to open her brokerage right around the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, with the Century 21 affiliation, her team of 15 independent sales professionals will have access to expanded tools, technology and resources. They will continue to specialize in both residential and commercial real estate across the region.

Unlike rigid corporate environments, the Century 21 system gives agents the tools and resources to help them succeed without compromising their individuality.”
Whitmire’s approach to leadership includes a strong focus on mentorship, training and long-term relationships with both clients and agents. Many on her team are local to the areas they serve, which allows them to stay connected to their communities even after a transaction is complete.
“In an industry driven by market shifts and competition, it’s important to stay grounded in what matters most: people,” Whitmire said.
Century 21 Realty 1 Professionals operates from two main offices: Covington — roughly 40 minutes outside of downtown Atlanta — and Milledgeville, which is just under two hours away. Covington is known for its film and television roots, while Milledgeville is also a historic city with ties to Georgia’s past as well as lakefront living and investment properties.
With this move, Whitmire and her team aim to continue growing their business while staying grounded in the communities they know best.
