Shortly after the news broke of Osama Bin Laden being killed by US Special Forces, a virus began to spread on Facebook claiming to have photos of him.  I received a notification from the Facebook Security Page about the virus and was able to notify my network to help them avoid getting their computers infected.

Disaster averted.

That’s why Facebook Security is my first recommendation.

Facebook Security

Breakdown:

Security is a very high priority for Facebook.

This page exists to help you protect your information.

They provide updates on new security features, best practices, and alert you of any known viruses spreading through Facebook.

Facebook Known Issues

Breakdown:

Facebook has bugs…a lot of them.

Right now, there are over 2,500 bugs reported.  This page exists to keep Facebook users up-to-date with bugs and other issues that exist on Facebook.

I really love the weekly recap they share of known issues.  Often times you find other Facebook users commenting in the post with workaround solutions.

Why do I “Like” this Page:

Facebook is in a constant state of change.  They are rolling out new features and enhancements every single day.  As a result, they are constantly “breaking things.”

Most recently – “Tagging for Pages”

I “like” this page because they do a great job at keeping me up-to-date with problems.

Facebook Marketing Solutions

Breakdown:

This page is chalked full of great information on Facebook Marketing for business.  You will find videos, guides, interviews and links to live training events.

I really love seeing small businesses use Facebook effectively to attract more customers.  This page does a great job at showcase real life Facebook Marketing success stories.

Breakdown:

Facebook is constantly updating the features and functionality of Pages.  This page helps me stay up-to-date with all the changes that are happening.

You will also find bug reports specific to Facebook Pages, information on new features, and help guides.

Facebook Live

Breakdown:

Facebook Live is a really cool resource.  They use this page to live stream product announcements, round table discussions and interviews with thought leaders.

They hold quite a few of these live events and the topic range from technical discussions to interviews with small business owners.

When you follow this page you will be notified of upcoming live events that you may want to attend.

Why do I “Like” this page.

I really enjoy learning more about how Facebook operates and the thought process that goes into new features that they are developing.

When the sessions are small, you can post questions in their live chat and Facebook will answer them.

I highly recommending staying connected with this page.
