A pair of adjacent parking spots in Boston’s classic Back Bay neighborhood were sold at auction for $560,000, according to The Boston Globe. That’s more than $200,000 more than the median sales price of a single-family home in the historic U.S. metro.
Two neighbors reportedly bid up the price on the two spots — which were seized by the Internal Revenue Service from a person who owed $600,000 in back taxes — from their $42,000 start price.
