The 15-year-old consumer-focused apartment search site apartments.com, the 10th most popular real estate site from desktop computers in August, according to Experian Marketing Services, is being shopped around by its parent company, Chicago-based Classified Ventures LLC. Classified Ventures has hired a New York City-based bank to help evaluate options, reports the Chicago Tribune, but it says no definitive decision has been made yet about selling the site.
