Reflecting a superstitious bent among New York City’s homebuyers that has “taken on a life of its own,” 95 percent of the condos in the city’s Manhattan and Brooklyn boroughs are tall enough to have no designated 13th floor, according to an analysis of 1,500 condo listings by listing site CityRealty as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
“I’m not particularly superstitious myself, but not having a 13th floor is a no-brainer,” a New York City developer told the Journal.
