California city pondering a limit to its 'mansionization'

The city of Burbank, Calif., is considering an ordinance to limit the disjointed layout that results when large, ornate houses are built on small lots and stick out like sore thumbs in more modest, older residential neighborhoods. Already, the city limits the size of houses relative to lot size, but the survey seeks public support about additional size, and style, restrictions.
