If the real estate industry is looking to the ease with which some coffee shops handle transactions as a model for streamlining the homebuying process, news about Starbucks today should prompt it to pay even more attention that it already does to phones, if that’s possible.
Starbucks’ chief digital officer, Adam Brotman, said on a Starbucks earnings call yesterday that now more than 10 percent of the global cafe chain’s U.S. transactions are done through consumers’ phones, the Wall Street Journal reported.
“This is the kind of improvement to the digital experience that our customers expect,” Brotman said on the call.
