The Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio, has been a stellar landlord of his Brooklyn duplex, at least according to his tenants. He’s quick to respond to the few issues that arise and down-to-earth, a few tenants told the New York Times.
“I don’t have one negative word to say about Bill and Chirlane,” a woman who lives in the second-floor one-bedroom apartment with her husband told Times.
Being a good landlord didn’t make de Blasio any money, however. He didn’t list rental income with his mayoral candidacy docs because, with mortgage insurance, property taxes and depreciation, his campaign says there was none.
