SF agent uses real estate to fund his fashion dreams

David Klein, a middle-aged real estate agent in San Francisco is using his real estate career to fund a clothing line for young women — Wild Beautiful Clothing — that merges a long-delayed passion for photography and a new-found interest in fashion design.

After more than 20 years raising a family and building a real estate business, he started exploring the passions of his younger days and took some art classes at the City College of San Francisco, which eventually led him to pick up fashion design. This month, 15 models strutted 30 to 45 of his pieces at an arts event that featured designs built from his long-exposure photography.
