A 10-year study of 10,065 listings in a Mid-Atlantic multiple listing service found that an experienced agent — one with more than 10 years in the business — is worth about $25,000 more per average house than an agent with less than two years on the job.
“The more experience you have, the more likely you are to sell the properties that you list, the more likely you are to sell it at a higher price and the less time it stays on the market,” Bennie Waller, the Longwood University professor of finance and real estate who led the study, told the Wall Street Journal.
