Overnight real estate rates sink

30-year fixed rate at 6.21%; 10-year Treasury yield at 5.04%

Long-term mortgage interest rates came down Thursday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield inched up to 5.04 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average fell to 6.21 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate dipped to 5.93 percent. The 1-year adjustable held at 5.42 percent. The 30-year Treasury bond yield increased to 5.11 percent. Rates are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
