Patrick Stone, former CEO of Fidelity National Information Solutions, will serve as vice chairman of the Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based Metrocities Mortgage board of directors, the company said this week.
Stone recently left FNIS as a result of its parent corporation Fidelity National Financial's purchase of its remaining interest in the smaller real estate technology company. Stone continues to serve as a consultant to Fidelity and remains on its board of directors.
Metrocities Mortgage operates as a direct lender and mortgage broker. Stone plans to contribute to the development of Metrocities' bundled services offering, he said in a statement announcing his appointment.
"Patrick has a rich history with Metrocities, as he has served as an advisor on our board of directors for several years," Metrocities Mortgage CEO Paul Wylie said.
Stone was president of Fidelity from 1995 until December 2002. He started his career in title insurance as VP of sales at Washington Title in Hillsboro, Ore., in 1977. He later was president of Stewart Title of Oregon in the early 1980s, and was president of Stewart Title of Denver from after that. He joined Fidelity National Title Insurance Co. of Oregon in 1989 and was president of that entity until 1995.
