Yesterday, Inman News reported on MLSonline, an online real estate lead generation service that two Los Angeles-area real estate agents plan to launch at the end of this month.

After the story was first published, Inman News learned that one of the co-founders Bruce Breger pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles last month. He was named last year in a criminal complaint that charged him with two counts of wire fraud in connection with the theft of $1.5 million from Mark Jackson, a basketball player now with the Houston Rockets. Breger formerly was Jackson's financial manager.

Breger faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and will have to pay restitution to Jackson, according to a courthouse press release. He is scheduled to be sentenced during the last week in June.

When we contacted Breger about these facts, he admitted to having had a gambling problem. He said he has been in a recovery treatment program for more than two years and is trying to make up for his past mistakes.
