Trulia launches 'Market Crisis' site

Real estate tech brief

Inman News®

Real estate search and marketing site Trulia.com has launched a special page that offers information and perspectives about the current housing market crisis. The "Surviving the Housing Market Crisis" microsite includes links to blog posts and questions posted at the site related to the market downturn topics at the site range from coverage of a speech by a former National Association of Realtors economist to a post about abandoned pets in foreclosed homes.

Trulia also announced it has created a new business development group to expand its partnerships with multiple listing services and real estate associations. The company already works with about 15 real estate associations and MLSs across the country to market property listings online, including the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors, MLS Property Information Network, the Real Estate Board of New York, SoCalMLS and CLAW MLS.

In addition to displaying properties at Trulia.com through syndication agreements, Trulia offers to work with association and MLSs to build Trulia-powered search sites that can be custom-branded.

Looks like Trulia is making some aggressive moves to establish relationships that will enable it to come out on top at the end of the slowdown. Trulia could very well become the dominate real estate search site with is custom-branded options for associations and MLS. Can't wait to see those custom-branded sites.
