IREMJobs.org was created in 2004 by the Institute of Real Estate Management. IREM members pay $100 for a 30-day job posting, while nonmembers pay $200.
RealEstateJobs.com was launched in 2001, serving as an online presence for Dallas-based executive search firm Gillham, Golbeck & Associates, which specializes in real estate executive search and placing temporary real estate talent throughout the United States. GGA spun the site off as a separate company owned jointly by GGA and Boyer Group, a marketing firm specializing in commercial real estate.
IREM claims that together, IREMJobs.org and RealEstateJobs.com average 3,000 hits per day, with almost 60,000 users signed up to get RealEstateJobs.com's weekly e-mail blast.
