Real estate tech brief
By Inman News, Tuesday, August 11, 2009.John L. Scott Real Estate has launched a mobile Web site platform for consumers to access property listings. This mobile Web site includes several features designed for iPhone users.
The platform automatically detects when the site is accessed by an iPhone and provides a customized user experience. The platform also offers iPhone users a GPS technology that gives the option to view nearby homes for sale and open houses.
Users of other types of smart phones can use other features, such as a mobile version of the company's Property Tracker tool, which allows users to save favorite searches and to set up notifications for new properties matching user-selected criteria. I think it is great that they have developed mobile consumer apps. I would like to see more companies follow suit, as this is a huge opportunity that most are overlooking.

This service is available through my Home Search Website provider as well,
www.proagentwebsites.com
I have many home buyer leads generated from I-Phone access and my search landing pages see below:

By just punching in an address of a home in my local area, home buyers are directed to my website. I can't think of a better way to receive a buyer lead than this.

I think that it is a very nice decision to make a mobile version of any website. First of all you are not losing your visitors. Nowadays a big part of internet users are browsing using their mobile phones (me too), so this is important if there are some version of website specially for cell phones or not. This version must include less scrolling, less pictures and so on. In other words it must be comfortable to browse it using your mobile phone. I really appreciate that such a platform is done, because property listings are always important for me. Thanks one more time for doing it and publishing it here and I will be definitely waiting for more nice news from you in the nearest future.
Sincerely,
