Koenig & Strey vets join Dream Town
Barbara O'Connor, Colin Hebson form O'Connor-Hebson Group
By Inman News, Wednesday, May 26, 2010.Chicago-based Dream Town Realty has recruited two top-producing agents formerly with rival brokerage Koenig & Strey, Barbara O'Connor and Colin Hebson, and six others who will work under the umbrella of the newly established O'Connor/Hebson Group.
The O'Connor/Hebson Group will specialize in large-scale residential development and high-end home sales, Dream Town said.
Also joining Dream Town as members of The O'Connor/Hebson Group are Carrie McCormick, Diane Scheehan, Nate Ryle, Joffre Colbert, Lloyd Smith and Nycholle Brown.
Dream Town has "a very strong Internet presence and proprietary system, an unusually quick turnaround on its marketing, and an impressive pool of buyers," O'Connor said in a press release.
According to the company's website, Dream Town employs 139 agents including members of the O'Connor/Hebson Group.
Koenig & Strey was acquired last year by HomeServices of America Inc., but continues to operate as a franchisee of Real Living, Canadian-based Brookfield RPS' North American real estate network. The franchise was known as GMAC Real Estate before a merger that brought Columbus, Ohio-based Real Living under the umbrella of Brookfield RPS.
Koenig & Strey Real Living last month announced the acquisition of Schiller Real Estate, making it the third-largest brokerage in dollar volume in the greater Chicago market with 1,000 agents and staff in 22 locations.

Congrats to Barbara and Colin. You are both terrific agents and will do well. Dream Town is a great company, from what I hear. They always bring LOTS of buyers to my open houses.
Barbara I would love to come work for you... when you get your office up, let's talk!
