Shannon W. King has been called the "Real Estate Road Warrior" probably because she is married to a naval officer — which allows them to travel the world, and forces her to keep her businesses virtual. She spends most of her time in San Diego. King is a co-founder of Schoolhouse Realty, which donates 10 percent of its earnings to schools.
In the past 10 years of selling real estate, King has had the pleasure of helping more than 500 families find homes and has overseen 1,000-plus transactions. She has managed offices in numerous cities and two states.
When she is not selling real estate, you can find her pursuing her other passion: education. She speaks around the country for companies and associations. Her topics range from starting as a new agent, marketing tools and technologies, and running virtual offices.
King’s favorite city, Austin, Texas, is the home of TriBella Realty, her first real estate company. This is where King was named a "30 under 30" honoree by the National Association of Realtors, thus beginning her National Association of Realtors volunteerism!
Currently, she serves the National Association of Realtors in the following capacity:
- 2010 NAR Executive Committee
- 2009 Chair for NAR’s Young Professionals Network (YPN)
- 2007-10 NAR Strategic Planning Committee
- 2010 NAR Marketing Vice Chair
- 2008-10 NAR YPN Board Member
In her spare time you can find King and her husband, Scott, enjoying water sports, the beach and their dog.
