CAR offers consumer-facing iPhone app
Realtors pay subscription fee, provide free consumer access
By Inman News, Wednesday, July 14, 2010.The California Association of Realtors is offering Realtors a consumer-facing iPhone app that agents can brand and use to send their clients neighborhood, open house and listing information.
The AgentNTouch iPhone app provides a map to the Realtor's office along with links enabling consumers to call, e-mail, or refer the Realtor. A menu option allows Realtors to add their own personalized links to their own IDX search website or other landing pages.
The app also provides tips for buyers and sellers, real estate terminology, current mortgage rates, mortgage calculators, educational videos, and current real estate news.
It's a subscription-based service with Realtors paying a one-time set-up fee of $200 and an annual subscription fee of $99. Subscribers can provide the app to an unlimited number of consumers at no cost to the consumer.
CAR also offers a free iPhone app to members, My CAR, that's aimed at agents, providing market data, loan information and other information.
