A team of bloggers have launched a real estate blog focused on Apple products.

The blog, Mac Savvy Agent, encourages real estate professionals to use Apple products such as the iPad, iPhone and MacBook to enhance their productivity.

"Mac Savvy Agent exists because we know that as a team we can push the industry forward. We know that Apple products are exactly what a Realtor needs to streamline their business and simplify their processes," according to a post under the blog's "Why Mac?" tab.

The blog features 14 bloggers, many of them well-known in the online world of real estate: Brian Copeland, Chris Smith, Dale Chumbley, Daniel Rothamel, Darin Persinger, Jack Miller, Jay Thompson, Jeff Bernheisel, Jeremy Blanton, Jonathan Rivera, Krisstina Wise, Max Pigman, Michael McClure, and Nicole Nicolay.

Smith is the co-founder of Tech Savvy Agent, which won an Inman News Innovator Award for most innovative blog this year (Thompson's blog won the same award last year). Wise's brokerage, The GoodLife Team, also won an Innovator Award this year for most innovative brokerage or franchise. Many of the bloggers have also spoken at Inman News' Agent Reboot events.

So far, blog posts include "Demystifying The Mac Snobbery," "Why Productivity Junkies Invested in a MacBook," and "Fight the power! MLS standards and the Apple platform."

As part of their push for more widespread adoption of Apple products, the blogging team would also like multiple listing services and real estate-related software to be Mac compatible and for real estate events to focus more on Mac products.

"Have you been to a real estate conference that had classes that were specific to the Apple product line? We think they are coming, (are) long overdue and want to teach them," according to the same "Why Mac?" post.

A recent Inman News smart phone survey, found that more real estate industry professionals who responded to the survey are using iPhones than any other type of smart phone.

The blog launched Nov. 4 and, as of writing, more than 600 people have "Liked" its Facebook page.

Thanks to Inman for helping to shed more light on our site! Bottom line is that there are so many agents now using an iPhone, iPad or Mac that a community made sense. The passion we have seen and thank you's from agents around the country for doing this have already made it worth it.

Mac Savvy Agent is a great site - THANK YOU!

For years I felt like the only Mac user in Real Estate (I spoke at MacWorld Expo in 1992 on the topic)- it's great to see so many people realizing what a great tool the Mac is.

There are many who use Apple products, but not necessarily a Macintosh computer, so awhile back I created a google group where users can share ideas about how to use Apple products (iPad, iPhone, iTouch, etc.0 in Real Estate

It's open to all - please put in your Company name and web site when you send the email to join the group
