Baird Warner expands in Chicago suburbs
Acquisition of F.C. Pilgrim boosts Oak Park market share
By Inman News, Friday, June 24, 2011.Chicago-based Baird & Warner Real Estate has acquired brokerage F.C. Pilgrim & Co., saying the addition of the company's 37 agents ups its market share to 20 percent in Oak Park and surrounding communities.
Renee Naffziger, managing broker for Baird & Warner's Oak Park Office, will assume responsibility for the combined sales operations, the company said.
F.C. Pilgrim & Co. Managing Broker Michael O'Neill will take on a newly created role, director of community initiatives, for Baird & Warner.
With more than 1,500 agents and brokers, family-owned Baird & Warner claims to be the oldest residential real estate brokerage in the nation and the largest independent broker in Illinois.
Real Trends ranked the company as the 12th largest in the nation in 2010 by closed transaction sides, and 18th by closed sales dollar volume.
