Homeowners expected to spend less on spring renovations

While more than half of homeowners are planning remodeling projects for the spring, homeowners are expected to spend less on them this year, according to Zillow.

Fifty-nine percent of homeowners are planning remodels this spring, but they're expected to spend only an average of $700, the lowest amount of spending predicted by the Zillow Digs Home Design Trend Report since Zillow introduced the report.

The report also found that built-in cabinets, cubbies with baskets or trays, and repurposed antique furniture are the three biggest home organization trends this spring.
