Holliday Fenoglio Fowler brokered the sale of The Alexandria Apartment Homes, a 1,524-unit multifamily community in Alexandria, Va. The value of the transaction was nearly $200 million. Sterling Equities sold the property to Orion Residential, an apartment investment company. The Alexandria, located at the intersection of South Van Dorn Street and Duke Street, includes 20 mid-rise buildings with elevator service. Community amenities include a complimentary shuttle service to the Van Dorn Metro station, a 50-seat movie theater, convenience store, fitness center, two outdoor swimming pools, eight tennis courts, on-site dry cleaning, 16 laundry facilities and childcare center.
