Overnight real estate rates sink

30-year down at 5.23%; 10-year Treasury down slightly at 3.97%

Long-term mortgage interest rates were lower Monday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield was down slightly at 3.97 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average slipped to 5.23 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate dipped to 4.64 percent. The 1-year adjustable was unchanged at 3.21 percent. The 30-year Treasury bond yield remained at 4.75 percent. Rates are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
