Overnight real estate rates stand ground

30-year holds at 5.39%; 10-year Treasury up at 4.36%

Long-term mortgage interest rates were flat Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield rose to 4.36 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average remained at 5.39 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate held at 4.83 percent. The 1-year adjustable was down at 3.4 percent. The 30-year Treasury bond yield remained at 5.01 percent. Rates are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 162.2 points, or 1.56 percent, finishing at 10,590.22. The Nasdaq was up 41.42 points, or 1.98 percent, closing at 2,138.23.
