Overnight real estate rates flatten

30-year fixed rate holds at 5.39%; 10-year Treasury down at 4.28%

Long-term mortgage interest rates were unchanged Tuesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield slipped to 4.28 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average stayed at 5.39 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate remained at 4.96 percent. The 1-year adjustable was up at 4.03 percent. The 30-year Treasury bond yield sank to 4.54 percent. Rates are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
