Stewart Title of California and Stewart of California Insurance and Financial Services have partnered with American Home Shield for home warranty business, the companies said late last week.
The Stewart companies will begin selling home warranty protection under the name Stewart Home Warranty, which will be serviced and supported by American Home Shield.
American Home Shield has been in the home warranty business for more than 30 years. On average, the company’s contract holders make two claims per year, according to a company statement.
Home warranties are used to help homeowners with costly repairs or complete replacement of existing vital household systems and appliances.
Stewart Home Warranty is distributed through Stewart of California Insurance and Financial Services, an affiliate of Stewart Title of California. Stewart offers a complete portfolio of real estate-related products, including title, commercial and personal insurance.
Stewart Title of California is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp., a real estate information and transaction management company.
