Overnight real estate rates track lower

30-year fixed rate at 5.88%; 10-year Treasury yield at 4.64%

Long-term mortgage interest rates were down again Thursday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield dropped to 4.64 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average dipped to 5.88 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate sank to 5.57 percent. The 1-year adjustable was up at 4.89 percent. The 30-year Treasury bond yield fell to 4.69 percent. Rates are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 43.47 points, or 0.39 percent, finishing at 11,253.24. The Nasdaq lost 12.28 points, or 0.53 percent, closing at 2,299.56.
