Weichert currently offers about 30 real-estate specific courses online, and more than 160 technology courses – including Microsoft Office and ACT! — to help sales associates in company-owned and franchise offices improve their skills and make optimal use of their time. Weichert also provides additional online resources for sales office managers.
Weichert’s e-learning courses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through an internal Web site, and they supplement classroom training at Weichert’s Morris Plains, N.J., headquarters campus and regional training facilities, the company said. New associates attend an intensive three-week training session to help them start their real estate careers, where they learn Weichert methods that smooth the way to building business. In addition, the company’s mentor program teams each new sales associate with an experienced sales associate mentor for guidance in enhancing productivity.
Weichert said its e-learning courses address a wide range of topics, from connecting with customers through the Internet to the legal aspects of real estate to finance. To date, sales associates and company employees have completed close to 75,000 online courses.
The company recently extended its original 2-year contract with Learn.com for an additional 5 years.
