Property portal Zillow is offering a data file creation service to agents and brokers who are unable to upload their property listings to the Zillow database, the companies announced last week.

XML2U.com extracts property listings information from the Web sites of agents and brokers and converts it into data files that can be automatically uploaded to multiple property sites, including Zillow. The service costs $16 per Web site per month.

CORRECTION: Zillow reports there is no formal partnership in place with England-based technology company XML2U.com, despite an announcement by that company this week.

"We are still in a test phase … and therefore did not authorize or agree to a (public announcement)," Zillow spokeswoman Jill Simmons said in a statement. "(W)e have not officially partnered with (XML2U.com) and there is no formalized written or financial agreement at this time."

Inman News regrets the error.
