Smith, who has decades of senior management experience, primarily in the media and events industries, steps in today as CEO. He will report to Inman News founder and Publisher Brad Inman. Smith has previously served as president for Upside Events and in senior management roles with Future US Inc. and 1105 Media. From 2001-06 he served as vice president for Fawcette Technical Publications, and from 1991-97 he served as senior director of global events for Oracle Corp.
