Realtor.com reclaimed the top spot as the most-visited real estate-related website in October, according to the latest report from Web metrics firm Experian Hitwise. The report’s data is based on a sample of 10 million U.S. Internet users.
Yahoo Real Estate previously displaced Realtor.com from the No. 1 position for the first time in the report’s three-year history in August and retained that spot in September.
While Yahoo Real Estate’s market share remained steady at 5.87 percent of traffic to real estate category websites, Realtor.com’s share jumped to 5.99 percent last month from 5.76 percent in September.
Only three sites among the top 20 most popular retained their positions: Zillow, Trulia and Rent.com at Nos. 3, 4 and 5, respectively. Zillow had a 4.23 percent market share, followed by Trulia at 3.49 percent, and Rent.com at 2.53 percent.
