Which social channels do you work the most?

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

How many friends, likes and so on do you have?

40,000 and counting.

Does that number matter to you?

No.

Do you ever give it a break?

Yes.

Does social help your business, and how?

Yes; social media is how I initially built my business relationships, and I continue to build those today.

What’s your goal for your favorite social channel?

My goal is always to continue to build relationships.

What’s your strategy to achieve it?

The strategy is to always approach social media from a contribution standpoint and never from a sales standpoint.

Is it worth it, why?

Yes, building relationships online is great. You just have to bring them offline.

What’s your craziest social media-related story?

I saved Mark Zuckerberg from being run over by the other Geeky Girl at Facebook …

What actions do you take that have gotten the most results?

Just being engaging and interested in others lives’ … likes, comments and telling them happy birthday mean a lot and go a long way.

Is this more about “social” or about business?

This is about being social. When you do that, the business will come.

How do you monitor the channels? Do you use software or apps to manage your account, and which ones?

No push notifications; no email; no software. All organic.

How many hours per day are you on social?

Less than one hour. I’m on for 15 minutes in the morning, 15 minutes at night, and a couple runs while at the gym doing cardio.

Do you ever think of retiring?

No.

Do you consider yourself an influencer?

There are a lot of eyeballs on everything I do … and there is a responsibility in that.

Are you social in real life?

Yes.

What did you do with your time before?

Time before what? I have three kids and a husband; that encompasses all of my time.

How do you leverage your prominence or influence on social?

I still maintain that when you live by the philosophy of coming from a standpoint of contribution in all areas, there is not a need to leverage anything.

Do you have someone helping you?

With social, no — I do my own personal social media. We do have someone at Live Love Marketing who does help with our Facebook business pages and blogging.

Whom do you follow and why?

I follow a lot of people. Industry leaders, agents, local news outlets, thought leaders and CEOs. I love to learn from those doing more than me.

Where do you find the content that you put out?

A variety of places: events, online articles, people I follow, major companies. Many things I share are not even related to real estate.

Likely a Mother’s Day post with a picture of me at my wedding in 2001.
