The Zillow Rental Network now includes Trulia, giving the rental property marketers and landlords who advertise on the network access to Trulia’s monthly audience of 55 million unique visitors.

The Zillow Rental Network, which includes HotPads and Yahoo Homes, already claimed to have the largest rental audience on the Web. Currently, rental listings flow just one way — from the network to Trulia and not the other way around, Zillow spokeswoman Amanda Woolley told Inman.

While Zillow Group — the new firm that houses Zillow, Trulia and a handful of other brands Zillow owns — has plans to unify Zillow and Trulia’s for-sale listings into one database later this year, the firm hasn’t decided if it will create one network-wide pool of rental listings, Woolley said.

Trulia carries rental listings exclusively from Primedia Inc., operator of popular rental sites Rent.com and ApartmentGuide.com, under an agreement the two firms signed in 2012.

Zillow’s competitors in the rental space include CoStar Group, owner of Apartments.com, which recently announced it’s throwing $100 million into an “aggressive” consumer marketing campaign this year. The campaign kicked off with a TV ad featuring actor Jeff Goldblum.

Editor’s note: Zillow Rental Network listings will flow to Trulia, but Trulia listings will not go to the Zillow Rental Network as a previous version of this story incorrectly stated.
