In addition to expertise in the panoply of information that real estate professionals must master, the art and science of marketing is critical to the success of real estate professionals. Brothers Hans and Steve Wydler know this to be true. So they’ve taken their consultancy business approach and quirky marketing style and launched their own independent brokerage, aptly named Wydler Brothers Real Estate.

After more than 10 years at Long & Foster, the brothers felt that it was time to road-test their style, which they say has resonated with their clients and agents.

Hans Wydler put it this way: “We don’t talk about the wealth of our clients, nor how expensive their homes are, what we care about is giving our clients the very best sound business advice and backing it up with a marketing engine that is second to none.”

He offered those thoughts in a statement, adding that the new independent brokerage, Wydler Brothers strives to build on its success at Long & Foster by employing smart people, cutting-edge technology, and fun, clever marketing.

Wydler Brothers Real Estate will be opening offices in McLean, Chevy Chase and Washington, D.C. early this year.

As they look toward new ventures, we wish them the best of luck and we look forward to continuing a productive relationship with them in the future,” Jeff Detwiler, president and COO of The Long & Foster Companies, said.

“For the Wydlers, Long & Foster served as an ideal brokerage to grow their business, and we remain a truly unique entrepreneurial environment that helps agents build their business acumen and achieve success.”

The Long & Foster Companies is the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate.

Wydler Brothers was formerly a residential real estate team formed by Hans and Steve Wydler that specialized in fine homes and condominiums throughout the greater DC metro area. With close to $1.25 billion in sales since their inception, they were among the highest producing teams inside the Beltway and were recently ranked No. 25 in the US by The Wall Street Journal.
