Halloween is all fun and games — costumes, candy, jack-o’-lanterns, silly “monsters” made of face paint and fake blood. But if you’ve ever seen American Horror Story, you know we all have one real reason to be afraid: ghosts.

With one in every 1,795 single family housing units nationwide being vacant and having an owner who is now deceased, it’s fair to wonder just how haunted your area is (Roanoke didn’t make the list).

Attom Data Solutions took a look at the more than 40,000 available single family homes to see which ZIP codes have the most potential to be haunted (hint: watch out Gary, Indiana) — just in time for Halloween.
