Michael Friedman is the new managing director at Luxury Simplified Real Estate in Charleston, South Carolina. “I bring over 28 years of experience to the mix,” said Friedman in a statement. “I have been involved in all aspects of the real estate industry — residential and commercial development, residential sales, property management, vacation rental management, executive real estate coaching and training, and most recently real estate branding and media marketing.”

Andrew Wachtfogel

Andrew Wachtfogel

Douglas Elliman Development Marketing announced that Andrew Wachtfogel has joined the firm as Senior Vice President of Data and Analytics. “We are thrilled to have Andrew join our team as he is an outstanding addition,” said Leslie Wilson, SVP and Managing Director, Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. “His passion, extensive experience and successful track record in real estate analysis and implementation will further the strength and support of the expertise we offer our clients globally.”

Tapan Bhat

Tapan Bhat

Tapan Bhat has left realtor.com and is joining the team at NerdWallet as the chief product officer. “Tapan brings 20+ years of experience leading product, marketing and engineering teams to NerdWallet,” said the company in a statement.

Mary Lowe

Mary Lowe

Mary Lowe has been appointed sales manager of Compass’s Williamsburg and new Cobble Hill locations. Lowe will co-manage Brooklyn agents alongside Patrick Brennan. “Our growing presence in Brooklyn demands more great managers to maintain the same level of service our agents and clients expect. Mary is a natural leader with deep knowledge of the Brooklyn market, and she and Patrick are a winning leadership combination for the region,” said Robert Reffkin, Founder and CEO of Compass, in a statement.

Smitha Seshadri

Smitha Seshadri

Smitha Seshadri will rejoin Bridge Housing, a developer of affordable housing, as the company’s vice president, effective mid-January 2017. “I’m delighted to welcome Smitha back to Bridge,” said Cynthia A. Parker, Bridge Housing President and CEO, in a statement. “She brings a great deal of talent to the table, with depth and breadth of experience that will help us deliver high quality and much-needed affordability to people and neighborhoods.”

Wendy Purvey

InvitedHome, a vacation rental company, has hired Wendy Purvey as its new chief marketing officer. “Changes to the way we travel are likewise transforming the real estate industry, and Wendy’s extensive understanding of the luxury consumer makes her well-positioned to propel InvitedHome to the forefront of the evolution.” said Henry Parry-Okeden, InvitedHome’s co-founder, in a statement. “We’ve designed every facet of InvitedHome to meet the needs of the high-end homeowner.”
