Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has found a buyer for his NoHo penthouse in Manhattan, New York, which listed in December for $39.5 million, The Real Deal reported Monday.

According to Olshan Realty’s weekly Luxury Market Report, Penthouse West — located at 25 Bond Street, Unit PHW — was the priciest home to go under contract last week among 28 other high-end Manhattan, New York properties.

Nick Gavin and Kimberly Pressman of Compass represented the listing, which currently states “contract signed.” The final sales price was not immediately known.

Penthouse West crowns an eight-story, ultra-luxury condominium designed by BKSK Architects in NoHo, short for North of Houston Street. NoHo is known for its expansive lofts and chic boutiques.

A shell company linked to Schmidt acquired Unit PHW from Wall Street and cryptocurrency executive Michael Daffey for $24.6 million in 2021, TRD reported. However, the penthouse has never been lived in, according to the property’s listing.

Since its purchase in 2021, the penthouse has undergone a meticulous restoration by Sawyer | Benson, and now has a museum-quality that can be described as a blend of modern elegance and classic sophistication. The residence boasts Venetian plaster walls, custom Cerused millwork and hand-scraped hardwood floors.

Spanning 6,400 square feet, the duplex home is thoughtfully divided: the main level houses living and entertaining spaces, while the upper floor is dedicated to bedrooms.

The main level features floor-to-ceiling windows, over 600 square feet of terrace space and a dining area with a 10-person table. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with a custom 20-foot butcher block countertop, a Miele six-burner range with a vented hood and an expansive Taj Mahal quartzite counter.

Upstairs, the primary suite offers a spa-like bathroom with double vanities, custom Siberian Sky marble walls and Quarzo Bianco flooring.

The penthouse includes four spacious bedrooms and three en-suite bathrooms, with all furnishings either curated specifically for the space or custom-built.

Additional amenities include two powder rooms, four wood-burning fireplaces  and two terraces spanning 2,450 square feet, offering panoramic city skyline views.

The crowning feature is the rooftop terrace, which boasts a fully equipped FESFOC Barcelona outdoor kitchen and an oversized luxury hot tub.

Schmidt, co-founder of Schmidt Futures, a philanthropic initiative focused on science and technology, has continued his involvement in the world of artificial intelligence, according to Time. He previously served as chairman of the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence and authored Genesis: Artificial Intelligence, Hope, and the Human Spirit.
