Sonia Figueroa

I was born and raised in Chicago. I started off in the engineering telecom field but got tired of the corporate life and decided to jump into Real Estate 12 years ago. I was a solo broker for about three years before starting a small brokerage in 2008 with 15 agents. I also became certified as a women minority owner with the City of Chicago, Cook County and the state of Illinois and I have actively participated in opportunities with Illinois government entities. I quickly learned that managing agents and my own firm was a big responsibility, so I made the decision to close my brokerage in 2013 to become a solo broker and focus on giving the best customer experience to my clients. I also had the opportunity to join the Goldman Sachs 10,000 whose goal is to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing access to education, capital and business support services. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University and an Associate degree in Computer Science.
