Backstage at Real Estate Connect NYC, we had the opportunity for a unique one-on-one interview with Thomas Arnold, Client Partner at Facebook. Hear his unique perspective on how real estate agents can broaden their reach, expand their connections and drive more business.

Inman News CMO, Tracy Weir asks Thomas about the unique opportunities he sees for real estate professionals using Facebook. Did you know, we are only three clicks away from reaching a million people through some of the up-and-coming media options that Facebook has?

In addition, this past week, many users may have noticed a change to the layout of the image viewer on Facebook.

Underneath the likes and comments, are sponsored stories and advertisements, placed in a prime location for those flicking through your album to see.

This change appears not to  have rolled out to all accounts so far – but it is something to be on the lookout for. Especially for anyone who pays for advertising on the site – it will be interesting to see if choosing an option on a photo (versus the news feed) will ever become an option. Facebook advertising is still, in my opinion, a great low-cost way to increase the number of likes to your business page. For sponsored stories, you can target friends of people who like your page – which can be a very powerful ad (seeing that your friend “likes” a page is compelling to “like” it yourself.

We’d love to hear about how you are using Facebook to drive your business.  Leave us a comment below!
