In the bitter cold of January in NYC, the stage gets set for the following year. Breakthrough technology, strategy and systems come together to be showcased at Inman Connect. Brokers, brands and decision makers in real esate come for a wide variety of reasons chiefly, the ability to connect and learn.

One of the more popular aspects of Connect is “start-up alley,” where new companies squint in the spotlight for the first time. Not all of these startups will succeed. Some will dissolve before the next January chill arrives. Others will learn and thrive.

In 2012 launched at ICNY. It is a simple and powerful tool for agents to survey buyers and sellers. Brad Inman invited them to join 4 other startups on the main stage for an opportunity to present their value proposition.

Following the segment – RealSatisfied was flooded with brokers and brands, MLS’s and real estate representatives from 7 countries at its small expo table. But there was a problem.

It was easy to see that while RealSatisfied provided a needed service, it was not giving the audience exactly what they wanted. Real estate brokers wanted a top down tool to view opportunities to train and coach and to highlight agents providing great customer care, and real estate agents wanted an easier way to get the agent testimonials collected by RealSatisfied into public review pages on sites like, Trulia and Zillow. They had to change and adapt to the market. Quickly.

Listening to the audience at Inman Connect they moved forward. Launching new tools and a top down management system allowed RS to announce a nationwide account with EXIT Realty last month. Currently they are working with two other large national brands.

The catapult style launch at ICNY was important , but not as important as the feedback received from the knowledgeable real estate audience. Adapting and learning on the fly has allowed RealSatisfied to become an ICNY success story.
