A former real estate agent who was accused of using the access she had to foreclosed HUD homes to steal appliances could face up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to steal government property.

Sember Lynn Smathers, 49, allegedly used a master key to steal more than $13,000 worth of appliances from HUD-owned homes in the Charlotte, N.C., area, selling some of the items from her home. Source: wcnc.com.
