Former Vancouver real estate agent Marianne Miller is unlikely to win any popularity contests in the industry anytime soon — and she knows it.

In a press release for her new book, “For Sale By Owner: Buying and Selling Your Home the Innovative Way,” Miller declares that “real estate agents are not necessary or, in most cases, even needed at all,” and “selling and buying your own home is not as complicated as real estate agents may lead you to believe.”

“I am fully aware that this bucks the trend of the traditional real estate process,” she said. “It may not make me the most popular person among agents — but this truly is the way forward.”

Due to expected high demand, the release urged interested readers to purchase their copies — and become FSBO experts — as soon as possible.
