Austerity taking a toll on private-sector job growth

Employment in the private sector grew by 166,000 jobs in September, short of the 180,000 jobs economists polled by MarketWatch were expecting to see in a monthly report from ADP that’s prepared by Moody’s Analytics.

Moody’s Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi said the job market “appears to have softened in recent months. Fiscal austerity has begun to take a toll on job creation.” Source: marketwatch.com
