Bamboo Realty — a 20-agent firm that specializes in serving first-time homebuyers in Houston and Dallas — is using the enterprise social network Yammer to help foster a cohesive, team-based environment, the Houston Business Journal reports.
The brokerage’s business model focuses on rental searches and green living, and after nearly doubling revenue from 2011 to 2012, has already seen revenue of $1.12 million in the first eight months of the year, close to last year’s total.
Bamboo Realty is one of 13 companies in the inaugural class of the Inman Incubator program, a yearlong mentorship, advisory and promotional program to help new companies in the real estate industry succeed. Managing Broker Sarah Jones says the Incubator program is helping the firm transition to a new business model. Source: bizjournals.com
