City ponders how to deal with 78,000 abandoned buildings

A federally appointed task force meets today to discuss how to cure Detroit of its blight epidemic, The Detroit News reports.

The group will ponder how to use its portion of the $300 million Detroit received for redevelopment to deal with 78,000 abandoned structures, according to the newspaper.
