Distrust of real estate agents highest among the young

Age is a good predictor of whether U.S. consumers trust real estate agents, according to an online survey of 1,147 adults conducted Oct. 30 by Choice Home Warranty using Google Consumer Surveys.

While roughly 4 in 10 (42.2 percent) of respondents ages 55 through 64 said they trust real estate agents, compared with 32.5 percent of all respondents and 27.7 percent of 35- to 44-year-olds.
