The mortgages that one medical school has offered some top doctors are enough to make everyday borrowers sick with envy.
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai has handed large no-interest mortgages to at least three doctors to entice them to work at the school, the Daily News reported.
One oncologist got a $1 million no-interest mortgage in 2008 from the school, and doesn’t have to make a payment on the loan until he leaves Icahn or sells the home he purchased with it, the Daily News said.
